MISUNDERSTANDINGS is an interactive installation and a performance. It is a platform for critical reflection on technology's ethical implications and power dynamics.
The project comprises a laboratory time, the AI THEATER LAB and a Production time.
The aim is to create two artworks: "Metamorphy," an interactive installation, and "Malentendidos" a theatrical performance.

METAMORPHY is an installation and stage partner for the show Otredades, is there to train humans to encounter radical otherness / Otredades. Because humans today are not yet ready to encounter radical otherness, they need training and preparation.Metamorphy is there to train humans to recognise otherness, to be increasingly capable of entering into a relationship with the Otredades, to make room for them in their reality, to allow them to coexist with them, to recognise them and not to be afraid of them or crush them or deny them. This interaction serves a dual purpose: providing an immersive experience and simultaneously collecting diverse, inclusive data that will feed the new LLM.

OTREDADES and MISUNDERSTANDINGS

What kind of relationships can we develop with the unknown? Robots and chatbots surround us; are they new forms of nature? Strange animals? Bizarre beings? Just simple tools, technical solutions, or technological toys? Who are they, or what are they? Should we develop empathy for them? Are they a new mechatronic kingdom, or should they remain as objects, tools, so as not to confuse their purpose? What kind of relationship can we build with them? And what if robots spoke about our relationships with the unknown, the unknowable.

"Misunderstandings" extends this concept through a performance that blends monologues with the presence of mechatronic animals and chatbots. It humorously and poetically explores our relationship with the unknown and the role of AI and predictive technologies in shaping our future perceptions.
